What is The On It Foundation’s Mission Statement?
The On It Foundation is a National 501(c )(3) public non-profit that provides free computers, computer training and Internet to low-income families with students in grades K-12 that receive a free or reduced school lunch, attend a public school and reside within the United States. The On It Foundation was Founded by Calvetta Phair in November 1999.

What are the qualifications for a free* computer?
TO QUALIFY FOR A FREE COMPUTER: A student must be in a grade K-12, receive a free or reduced school lunch, attend a public school and reside within the United States. The On It Foundation does not provide free computers for those outside of the United States and organizations as well. However, individuals and organizations that do not qualify may purchase discount computers through our Jump On It! Program. *Please note that free computers are based on availability. If computers are not available, your name will be placed on a waiting list to contact you as soon as computer donations become available.
How do I apply for a free computer?
A Parent/Guardian for the student must write to The On It Foundation requesting a free computer. Information in the letter must provide the following: 1.) Student Name, Age, Grade, School Name, School Address and School Phone Information 2.) Parent/Guardian Name, Address, Phone Number. *Please note ‘The Letter of Request’ for a free computer must be signed by the Parent/Guardian. Also, we require proof from the school on its letterhead that the student qualifies for free or reduced school lunch. Please mail the Letter of Request and statement from the school to: The On It Foundation Attn: Free Computer Application 18520 NW 67th Avenue, Suite 186 Miami, FL 33015 You may e-mail the Letter of Request (as long as the original signature is included in the letter); However, The On It Foundation requires the original statement from the school regarding the student's confirmation that he/she is on the free or reduced school lunch program. What if there are no computers available?
You will be put on a waiting list for your area until a donated computer becomes available. Free computers are received from donated systems and distributed on a first come first serve basis.
What if I don't qualify for a free computer?
You may qualify for a low-cost computer through our Jump On It! Program. The Jump On It! Program allows you to purchase a computer regardless of credit and income. The Jump On It! Program may also provide you a low lay-away plan. Please go to: http://www.JumpOnItProgram.com to obtain further information. Do you accept donated computers?
YES! The On It Foundation's survival is based on donated surplus computers for our many recipients. We accept computers with the FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ONLY: Pentium III, 256 MG RAM, CD-ROM with Monitor, HardDrive, Keyboard and Mouse. All computers must have erased hard drives. THE ON IT FOUNDATION DOES NOT ACCEPT COMPUTER PARTS. Due to the increased cost of packaging and shipping rates The On It Foundation is unable to pay for shipping/packaging cost. Therefore, there may be another organization in your area where you may donate the computers if you do not wish to ship them to The On It Foundation. I do not have a computer to donate, may I sponsor a student or make a donation?
YES! The On It Foundation accepts sponsorships, donations of any amount, as well as real estate properties for training facilities, and storage areas of donated computers. You may sponsor a child through our "Get On It!" Sponsor Program. The program provides one computer per student, 20 hours of computer training, and Internet service for only $500.00. The Sponsoring Individual/Company name will be placed on the student's computer signifying the Donor's commitment and dedication to their community in providing technological tools and skills set.
How do I make a monetary donation?
